- Have a Water Conservation Coordinator visit your classroom for a presentation on the Hydrologic Cycle and discussion on our local water supply. Have your students learn water conservation techniques and ways they can protect our local water supply. Fieldtrips available to the local water treatment and reclamation plant.
USE WATER EFFICIENTLY:
- Adjust your irrigation controller for the season. Need help? The WRA has a FREE service where a technician will come to your home and adjust your irrigation controller to the appropriate setting. The technician can also check your house for leaks and install showerheads and faucet aerators...all FREE!
GET THE SALT OUT!
- The WRA has a rebate program for those that own a pre-1999 water softener that is currently working. Click on the "Program" link above for more details.
- Have a WRA technician come by your home for a water hardness test. The technician can make sure your water softener hardness levels are set correctly.
Let's keep as much salt out of sewer systems as
possible so it doesn't end up in our groundwater suppply!
